Monika is the inventor of CANNABRIC (hemp-clay brick for loadbearing applications), that she manufactures in Spain since 1999. Cindy has been an entrepreneur for over 30 years.

In 1996 Cindy bought Chris Conrad's book "Hemp, Lifeline to the Future" and it changed her life!

In 1997 Cindy designed the “Original Hemp Board” used to assist in making hemp macramé jewelry. A year later, Cindy started Hemp Sisters Inc. In a short period of time, we became one of the largest industrial hemp internet businesses in the world selling hundreds of hemp and other natural fiber products. We created jobs by manufacturing the jewelry kit.

Cindy developed the 10'x20' portable Hemp Hut and Hemp Hut kiosk for the Galleria Mall in Johnstown, PA and was successful in educating people in the area about hemp.

Combining her love for the restaurant industry and her passion to save the world with hemp, Cindy is extremely happy to introduce her new journey building Hemp Shells which is a Hi-Tech construction method for small and large infrastructure saving time and money.

Gaurav Dixit is an award-winning architect turned entrepreneur from India, specializing in hemp and sustainable architecture. Honored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2021, Gaurav is a leading figure in hemp-based construction technologies.

His journey began with designing India’s first eco-friendly hemp homestay in the Himalayas, showcasing his commitment to creating environmentally conscious spaces. As a visiting faculty at the School of Planning & Architecture in New Delhi, he developed India’s first course on 'Building with Hemp - Creating Ecological Lifestyles,' educating future architects on sustainable construction.

Gaurav has won the Global Housing Technology Challenge 2021 and the Asian Hemp Summit 2020. He represented India at the International Hemp Building Symposium 2022 in France and was a finalist at the National Startup Awards 2022.

Beyond his professional work, Gaurav is a certified trek leader, guitar enthusiast, and sketch artist. His Himalayan Hemp Ecostay inspires his passion for green living.

Hemporium was founded in 1996 by Duncan Parker and Alistair Maclean who were then students at UCT, with Tony Budden joining soon after to help with marketing and general hemp activism. The first order of material arrived from China in May 96 and a range of bags and clothing was developed during the course of the year, distributed in Cape Town mainly through The Hemp Shop in Long Street and through a wider range of outlets in Gauteng and even Windhoek.

Hemporium’s tagline: Innovate, Educate, Cultivate, led the team to develop a range of hemp products including textiles, clothing, body-care products, nutrition and construction materials.

Hemporium has been involved in advocating for hemp construction and has facilitated the building of several hemp homes and commercial buildings.

Tony Budden is concentrated on the developments in Africa where his experience and advice are valued and in great demand.

He will be working with Hemporium’s partners to develop their industries and operations in several surrounding countries, while continuing to lobby for legislation change in order to create an enabling environment for the industrial cannabis sector in South Africa.

He is a visionary entrepreneur and patented inventor, focusing on industrial hemp building products. His primary goal is to revolutionize the mass production of modular homes, aiming to create carbon negative homes using his patent-pending processes.

Currently, Wade holds the position of president at the Hemp Farmers Guild and is the founder and CEO of several companies, including Carbon Negative Houses, Inc., Tiny Hemp Homes Inc., and Industrial Hemp Insulation, Corp. His expertise extends beyond product development, providing valuable insights into the industrial hemp industry.

Wade is a strong environmental advocate, promoting the use of industrial hemp for its potential to rejuvenate farmland, provide a viable crop for farmers, and serve as an environmentally sustainable material for building affordable and healthy houses. David Jiménez Herrera is a business administrator and founder of Maria Maria Corp., a brokerage company in the cannabis and hemp industry with 15 years of experience advising companies and productive projects in Colombia.
His mentor, Monica Brümmer, inspired, motivated, and guided him on his path as an empirical bioconstructor 5 years ago, which led him to take on the challenge of conceptualizing, designing, and building the first hemp house in Colombia - LA VIÑA. In his research, he arrived at an ancestral construction method of the Chibcha indigenous people, seeking to merge bamboo and hemp, achieving harmony and solidity in a simple construction that is easy to build and with high efficiency in the use of raw materials.
Through this technique, David seeks to draw the attention of government authorities in Colombia to this industry as a viable alternative to solving the housing problem for the less fortunate people in his country at a very low cost compared to cement and iron.

Darwin Millard is an active member of ASTM International’s technical committee D37 on Cannabis which is an international group dedicated to the development of voluntary consensus standards for the global cannabis/hemp industry.

Darwin is the Subcommittee Vice-chair of D37.04 on Processing and Handling of Cannabis and Cannabis-derived Products, and the Co-chair of Subcommittee D37.07 on Industrial Hemp. He has been active in cannabis policy change and an advocate of the cannabis plant for over a decade.

Darwin Millard specializes in mechanical and solvent based extraction methodologies for isolating highly volatile terpenophenolic secondary metabolites from botanicals.

For the past 16-years, Darwin has been focusing on the extraction and manufacture of nutraceutical products comprising of phytocannabinoids and other bioactive constituents from the cannabis plant. My interest and purpose in this industry is to bring opportunities for decent housing to our communities and with it, social and economic development. Hemp is a plant that I am passionate about and I learn all the time.
My experience includes 8 years in defense of human rights in Indigenous, Afro, and Peasant communities who are victims of the Armed Conflict in Colombia in the departments of Cauca and Valle del Cauca.

I am the President of the Foundation Educating in Post-conflict (2018 - present).

I am a student and researcher of plant fibers and their composition for the development of new, more sustainable and durable materials, of the species present in each territory, Fique, Hemp, Cannabis, Banana, Guadua.

We are currently working on a community project to develop a model of accessible, sustainable, and productive housing for our Indigenous communities in Toribio Cauca and displaced communities in Cali - Valle.

I do social work in defense of the rights of vulnerable children and young people. I am part of the Culture of Peace Program: 'Youth Club Peace Advisers'

2.- Speaker Attendance: While we strive to ensure the presence of all advertised speakers, we cannot guarantee their attendance due to unforeseen circumstances. Changes to the speaker lineup will not be considered a breach of this agreement.

3.- Refunds: All sales are final. The Hemp Home Expo 2024 does not offer refunds under any circumstances, including but not limited to changes in the event schedule or speaker lineup.
